Join us in the beautiful city of Évora in the Alentejo region of Portugal for: ELIA Academy 2023 Exploring Situatedness 10 – 12 May 2023 Évora, Portugal We invite all arts educators, students, practitioners and professionals to situate yourself in this inspiring and historic city. Contemplate your place in time and space surrounded by the wonders of this UNESCO World Heritage site. Take part in over 50 sessions exploring session tracks such as Beyond Borders, More than Human, Pedagogy, Slowness, Careers in the Arts, Connectivity, Heritage at Heart and Seen & Heard. Take this opportunity to embrace slow living, discover new pedagogies, and investigate the evolution of the arts and creativity. Through hands-on workshops, exploratory walks, mindfulness sessions and illuminating presentations, connect with your international peers in more meaningful ways. Consider the situatedness of this culture, heritage and place and reflect on how art is created now and how we, as a community of arts educators, are defining its value for the future. |

Together with the team at University of Évora, School of the Arts, we look forward to welcoming you and your colleagues to the ELIA Academy 2023. Only 1,5 hours by bus or train from Lisbon!
