 Give your résumé a boost by participating in the world’s largest early music festival!Applications are now open for the Fringe and the International Van Wassenaer Competition, which take place as part of the Utrecht Early Music Festival 2023 (25 August to 3 September). Fringe The Fringe at the Utrecht Early Music Festival functions as a springboard for young talent. Talented young musicians get the opportunity to present themselves to a large audience, in special concert venues in the historical city of Utrecht during the world’s largest early music festival. All participating soloists/ensembles are offered to receive feedback from professionals. We are now taking applications for the Fringe programme for Utrecht Early Music Festival 2023! International Van Wassenaer Competition – Early Edition In 2023, the International Van Wassenaer Competition will be devoted to the Early period: middle ages to renaissance (<1600). Like previous editions, the participating ensembles will be judged by internationally renowned musicians. Programme 30 August 2023 – semifinals 31 August 2023 – masterclasses 1 September 2023 – final Awards Jury awards Audience award OOM prize (separate jury): a concert tour in the season of the Utrecht Early Music Festival 2024/2025, or a concert in the Utrecht Early Music Festival 2024 All finalists (up to four) will receive a masterclass voucher with a value of € 500.  The application deadline for both the Fringe and the International Van Wassenaer Competition is Monday 1 May 2023.
