We are pleased to inform you that the Young Musicians’ Summer Academy, organized by the University of Debrecen Faculty of Music (Hungary), is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. In this special jubilee year between July 2 and 16, 2026, we welcome talented musicians, high school and university students, as well as teachers and professors working in higher music education from all over the world. Over the years, participants have arrived from more than 50 countries, creating a truly international atmosphere.

The Summer Academy is held at the University of Debrecen Faculty of Music, located in one of the city’s most beautiful and popular areas, the Great Forest (Nagyerdő). The instrumental and vocal masterclasses are led by renowned soloists, teachers, and orchestral musicians from the Hungarian and international music scenes. In addition to individual masterclasses, participants have the opportunity to take part in symphonic orchestral work as members of the Kodály Zoltán World Youth Orchestra. Furthermore, participants can attend additional courses designed to improve their stage confidence and support their development as performing artists.

After the rehearsal period, the orchestra—as in previous years—will embark on a concert tour, performing in Târgu Mureș (Marosvásárhely), Odorheiu Secuiesc (Székelyudvarhely), Romania, and Budapest. The concert in Debrecen serves as the closing event of the Young Musicians’ Summer Academy, which will be broadcast live by the University of Debrecen media channel.
