Applications are now open for the Fringe and the International Van Wassenaer Competition (IVWC), which take place as part of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2026 (28 August to 6 September). Talented young musicians get the opportunity to present themselves to a large audience, in special concert venues in the historical city of Utrecht during the world’s largest early music festival. All participating soloists/ensembles are offered to receive feedback from professionals. We are now accepting applications for the Fringe programme for Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2026! International Van Wassenaer Competition – Early Edition In 2026, the International Van Wassenaer Competition will be devoted to music from the Middle Ages and Renaissance. Like previous editions, the participating ensembles will be judged by internationally renowned musicians.
