The Pärnu Music Festival Järvi Academy is pleased to announce that applications for the Järvi Academy Instrumental Masterclasses are now open until 10 April. The Järvi Academy offers:
- Conducting Masterclasses led by distinguished conductors Paavo Järvi, Neeme Järvi, Kristjan Järvi, and Leonid Grin.
- Repertoire of the conducting course:
- 1st programme: Works of Arvo Pärt, W. A. Mozart — Symphony No. 35 in D major, K. 385; J. Haydn – Symphony No. 92 in G major “Oxford” Hob.I:92
- 2nd programme: F. Lehar — Gold and Silver, Op. 79; L. v. Beethoven – Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor, Op. 37; J. Brahms — Symphony No. 3 in F major, Op. 90
- Repertoire of the conducting course:
- Instrumental Masterclasses: Three 45-minute lessons with internationally renowned faculty (accompanist available upon request).
- Faculty of the 2025 Järvi Academy instrumental course:

- Järvi Academy Symphony Orchestra: Selected participants (based on application recordings) will take part in two performances:
- Opening Concert, conducted by Neeme Järvi, former artistic director for renowned orchestras such as the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Honorary Artistic Director for Life of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra. Repertoire:
- Arvo Pärt – Cantus in Memory of Benjamin Britten
- Mozart – Symphony No. 29
- Saint-Saëns – Symphony No. 3 “Organ Symphony”
- Final Concert – Brahms’ Symphony No. 3, prepared in collaboration with Järvi Academy Conducting Course participants under the guidance of Paavo, Neeme, Kristjan Järvi, and Leonid Grin.
- Opening Concert, conducted by Neeme Järvi, former artistic director for renowned orchestras such as the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Honorary Artistic Director for Life of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra. Repertoire:
- Music Physiology Lecture and Individual Coaching: Led by Lisanne Alrov.
- Faculty of the 2025 Järvi Academy instrumental course:
- Free Access to Pärnu Music Festival Concerts, including performances by Paavo Järvi’s Estonian Festival Orchestra (EFO). In 2025 the soloists performing with the EFO are Iveta Apkalna, Kalev Kuljus, Hans Christian Aavik & Mari Poll, and Vilde Frang. This year’s festival holds special significance as it celebrates the 90th birthday of the world-famous Estonian composer Arvo Pärt.
The Järvi Academy provides a unique opportunity to refine musicianship through expert instruction, orchestral collaboration, and exposure to world-class performances at the Pärnu Music Festival.
