The Pärnu Music Festival Järvi Academy is pleased to announce that the 2025 Järvi Academy will take place from July 12–23 in Tallinn and Pärnu, Estonia. We invite you to share this opportunity with your colleagues and students who may be interested in this enriching experience.

The Järvi Academy offers:

• Conducting Masterclasses led by distinguished conductors Paavo Järvi, Neeme Järvi, Kristjan Järvi, and Leonid Grin.
• Instrumental Masterclasses for strings, winds, and percussion, including 3 individual lessons (3x 45 min) taught by internationally recognized teachers. Accompanists are provided, and participants are invited to perform at the students’ concert to apply what they’ve learned.
• An integral part of the Järvi Academy is the Järvi Academy Symphony Orchestra, where young instrumentalists come together to prepare and perform two distinct programmes. The first programme will be presented at the opening concert, conducted by the esteemed Neeme Järvi, who has served as artistic director for renowned orchestras such as the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. The second programme will be performed at the final concert of the summer academy, where the orchestra collaborates with selected participants from the conducting course.

To support the musicians’ development and ensure the highest artistic quality, the preparation process includes sectionals led by experienced professionals, alongside tutti rehearsals. This structure enables participants to refine their skills in a collaborative and inspiring environment.

Participants of the Järvi Academy can sign up for free tickets to all of the Pärnu Music Festival concerts, including performances by Paavo Järvi’s Estonian Festival Orchestra (EFO). In previous years, the EFO has performed with world-renowned soloists such as Joshua Bell, François Leleux, and Alisa Weilerstein.

This year’s festival holds special significance as it celebrates the 90th birthday of the world-famous Estonian composer Arvo Pärt.
