Soundweavings: Intercultural Music Residency 2025

This two-week residency offers musicians and ensembles from diverse cultural and artistic backgrounds dedicated space and time to focus on their craft. Embracing music from all traditions and breaking boundaries, the program encourages connections between musicians using both traditional world instruments and Western instruments and voice.

Audio Engineer: Soundweavings 2025

The Audio Engineer professional training program is a continuing education opportunity designed for emerging recording engineers with mature artistic insight, professional experience, and/or formal professional/educational training. Learning objectives have been integrated into artistic residency programs, inviting exciting opportunities for collaboration, connection, and networking.

Through close mentorship, class sessions, and professional practice, participants will continue to learn about new equipment, software, and recording techniques while supporting selected musicians in the Soundweavings: Intercultural Music Residency 2025.

Program Dates Apr 22, 2025 – May 09, 2025

Interplay: Musicians & Composers 2025

This innovative and collaborative residency is for early and mid-career pianists, string, woodwind, percussion, brass musicians and composers, with a strong commitment to chamber music and chamber orchestra.  Instrumentalist Participants will have the unique opportunity to participate in various chamber ensembles, and form the orchestra for a fully produced opera, The Handmaid’s Tale, composed by Poul Ruders, in a new arrangement by Dan Schlosberg.

Musicians will delve into the rich history and contemporary evolution of chamber music, exploring a range of styles from classical compositions to new works. This includes the chance to collaborate with fellow participants and composers to create original compositions.

*Financial Aid of 100% is available to cover tuition, and Financial Aid of 50% is available to offset food and accommodation costs for all programs.
