The work consists of accompaniment of instrumentalists and singers, both in classroom context and at different concerts and other events. Good skills in sight reading will be appreciated. We offer good working conditions in our beautiful Renaissance Villa La Torraccia not far away from the Florence city center, with a possibility of learning a lot of new repertoires with stimulating people.

Florence is one of the world’s most attractive cities, with a lively cultural activity, some of the prominent world’s Museums as well as quite interesting concert series during the year, with an Opera House (Teatro dell’Opera di Firenze) and two main Orchestras.

The Scuola di Musica di Fiesole consists of: Academic courses (Bachelor and Master), pre-academic school, post-graduate courses with some prominent musicians, and activity for Adults/Amateurs. The SMF is also home of the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana – OGI (Italian Youth Orchestra) and several internal Orchestras and Choirs.

Offered periods for placement, either a semester or an academic year:
The academic year starts from the middle of October and finishes in the middle of July. Summer break lasts from the
middle of July till the beginning of October. Here are some suggested periods for traineeship.

1. Long spring semester 2025: from February 15th to July 15th, 1 place
2. Short spring semester 2025: from April 23rd to July 15th, 1 place
3. All Academic year 2025-26: from November 1st to July 15th, 1 place
4. Long spring semester 2026: from February 2nd to July 15th, 1 place
5. Short spring semester 2026: from April 15th to July 15th, 1 place
   Tasks:

• participation in accompaniment tasks during lessons, rehearsals, performances and exams. You can choose to
  work with instrumental classes (string, wind) and/or vocal lessons as well as early childhood department
• other assisting tasks
• possibly some minor teaching tasks
