We would like to inform you about a new career training programme for music students: Balthasar NOVA, the first long-term academy programme for period instrument playing. Founded by the Balthasar-Neumann-Orchestra, it is supported by the European Union and will start in March 2025. The programme is directed at European based musicians who are at the end of their studies or have already completed them. Auditions are possible for strings, winds, horn, trumpet and timpani/percussion.

The call for audition opens today and is open until December 1^st. 

With Balthasar NOVA, we offer young professional musicians from all over Europe the opportunity to develop in the independent scene in a comprehensive, sustainable and future-oriented way. The programme (duration: 03/2025 to 08/2026) includes fairly paid activities such as projects, courses, workshops, individual lessons, NOVA SALONS and many other innovative and forward-looking formats.
