| Greetings! Applications are open for the 2025 PRISMA Festival & Academy!Join us on the beautiful west coast of Canada in Powell River, British Columbia – from June 13 to 28. Our in-depth orchestral training program provides advanced students and young professionals with the essential tools to win a position in a professional orchestra. Many of our alumni now hold prominent positions across the globe. PRISMA 2025 students will engage daily with world-renowned artists from top symphony orchestras and chamber ensembles. Students will receive private lessons, sectional rehearsals, masterclasses, and workshops from the guest artists, who also perform throughout the festival. Students will perform in the PRISMA Festival Orchestra with 90 talented peers, featuring works such as: Mahler’s Symphony No. 6 Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 6 The world premiere of Mosolov’s Symphony No. 3 Berlioz’s Les nuits d’été … and more PRISMA offers masterclasses (open to a supportive daily audience), workshops, private lessons, auditions, rehearsals, and performances that bridge the education from university or conservatory with the realities of a professional orchestral career. Each year, over 5,000 concertgoers attend the PRISMA Festival in Powell River to experience the daily musical events, symphony and chamber music concerts, masterclasses, and recitals.
