| The new edition of the Conducting Award dedicated to one of the most legendary figures on the podium – Guido Cantelli – is back. The competition is dedicated to conductors aged 18 to 35 of all nationalities. Applications can be submitted from 26 February to 22 April 2024. The preliminary phase and semi-finals will be in Milan, at the Cariplo Foundation Auditorium from 3 to 5 October 2024, while the finals will take place at the Coccia Theatre in Novara on 6 October 2024. Take advantage of the early bird registration: if you apply by 26 March, you get a 20% discount on the registration fee! The President of the Jury will be Günter Neuhold, internationally renowned conductor, and the members will be conductors Riccardo Frizza and Corrado Rovaris, Numa Bischof Ullmann (Superintendent of the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester), Mauro Bucarelli (Artistic Secretary of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia), Didier de Cottignies (Artistic Director of the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra) and Cristina Rocca (Vice-President of The Richard and Mary L. Gray Chair of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association). |

| The Cantelli Award aims to actively contribute to the renewal of the symphonic repertoire: hence our decision to commission each year a newly composed symphonic piece that candidates for the Cantelli Award will be required to perform during the preliminary phase. The call is open to composers of all nationalities and with no age limit. Scores must be submitted through the form by 22 April 2024. |
