World’s leading musicologists and artists talk about the avant-garde opera of 1920s and 1930s – join the LIVE stream on 9 and 10 October!

On behalf of the National Theatre Opera, the Musica non grata project and the Masaryk University in Brno, we would like to inform you about the programme of the 57th International Musicology Colloquium Brno. The event will take place on 9 and 10 October 2023 and will be streamed LIVE on FB and YT platforms, attended by the world’s leading musicologists, as well as conductors, opera directors, intendants of leading European opera houses, dramaturges, publishers, and representatives of the recording industry and media in a panel discussion. The topic is avant-garde musical theatre of the first half of the 20th century with an emphasis on “Entartete Musik”. Languages: English (principal language) and German. The colloquium is intended for musicologists, singers, conductors, opera directors and students of arts management. Platforms will be open for questions (chat, comments). We will also offer students access to the media library, where they will be able to watch non-public recordings of completely unique opera performances and selected film documentaries for free.
