As you may know, Les Arts Florissants – William Christie Foundation offers “masterclasses” on its campus in Thiré (Vendée, France) for professionals, students in a higher education establishment or in a pre-professional course, under the direction of professionals and teachers from Les Arts Florissants.

The season 2023-2024 will start with two “masterclass”.

You will find attached, two calls for application.

The first masterclass will be led from October 18^th to October 20^th 2023 by a flagship artist of Les Arts Florissants, Emmanuelle de Negri, soprano specialist in the baroque repertoire, and will be on the rhetoric, ornamentation and interpretation of a repertoire ranging from Boësset to Rameau. Titled “Singing in French music, in the 17^th and 18^th centuries”, this masterclass on the art of the recitative is for singers (all tessitura).

The second masterclass will be led from January 11^th to January 13^th 2023 by the artist Marc Maurillon, faithful soloist (tenor and baryton) of Les Arts Florissants. This masterclass on the art of the recitative is also for singers (all tessitura).
