Shira Patchornik, the winner of 2021 says about the Cesti-Competition:
«I really do feel that the competition opened incredible doors for me and I love the good feeling of the festival itself. As you arrive on the first day of the competition, Eva-Maria Sens let’s you know that you are now part of the festival’s family. She means it. Many people who did not make it to the finals or even the semi finals were invited back to productions and concerts. The vibe of the festival and the people who come to compete is pleasant and open hearted. Had I not won, I’d do it all over again!»
